Q: How do I teach my dog to catch a frisbee?
They just stand there and watch it and wait till it comes down. They will retrieve balls, but not very interested in the frisbee.

Have you tried to play tug with the frisbee (and your dog, obviously)? If you can start by making the frisbee the "object of desire" as a playtoy then you could start throwing it very short distances and give your dog a BIG wonderful treat when they react AT ALL with it. You could drop the frisbee on the ground infront of them and if they even look at it say "YES" immediately and shove a treat in their mouth and say "good boy/girl". Just make it fun. If your dog/s are used to retrieving then you are half way there.
