Q: How do I stop my dog (Cocker Spaniel)from chasing cars

I walk my dog everyday on a leash. He goes crazy when a car passes. He barks and jumps at the car. I'm affraid to let him off his leash for this reason.

first of all..if he is not in a fenced yard...he should NOT be off the leash..I always watch the Dog Whisper..you can learn some very interesting things..but first and foremost..KEEP HIM ON THE LEASH!!!!!!!!

As Nancy said you shouldn't let the dog off the leash in the first place! But when he does go after cars you should tell him no in a firm voice and maybe even smack him on the nose if he doesn't listen(not too hard just enough to take authority).
