It depends whether the noise is due to squeaking or running around. I keep mine in my dining room. That way, they are close to where most of the activity is during the day. They are quiet at night. They might be hungry. Give them pellets and LOTS of hay (no alfalfa for adults) before you go to bed. That will keep them busy. Do they have pigloos? Add Super Pet pigloos so that they can each have one or a double sized one if you have two of them. Take the pigloo out during the day so they know it's bedtime when it's in there. Or you can cover the cage with a towel to make it dark so they sleep.

Guinea pigs aren't nocturnal. They are actually diurnal; active during the day. In the wild, guinea pigs are more active at night; probably to avoid predators. They sleep very little, though. I've usually heard about 4 to 5 hours. Most of what appears to be sleep is actually resting time where they are idle but alert. They will usually adjust their schedule to match what yours is. I wouldn't put them on a porch and definitely not outside or in a garage. I have never kept mine in a bedroom since they like to be where everyone else is. Living room, family room or dining room would be the best bet.
