Q: How can I raise money for my local animal sheltter?

Have you ever heard of www.fundable.com

When I want to raise money, I do a fundable. They are free to do. If you don't meet your goal, you don't get any money though, but you can change your goal at any time so that won't be a problem. Fundable does take out a 10% fee from your donations so keep that in mind.

maybe ask local pet stores if you can post flyers there for your local shelter. they usually would have a bullentin board for stuff like this.

Everyone has had good advice so far, but I would also check with the local vet hospitals to see if they would be willing to donate services (like spays, neuters) or supplies (they get food and other supplies from wholesalers), ask them if you can post fliers for the events you organize. Host a local dog walk and charge an entrace fee where all the proceedes go to the local shelter. That is really fun, participants register with their dog, local buisnesses usually will donate some prizes for the first one over the finish line, best owner/dog look alikes, etc. You could even have local PD do some demonstrations with the K-9 units. Get the shelter involved with an adoption booth at the end of the walk, maybe you could raise money and help find some new homes for the animals!! Good luck, it sounds like you will have fun no matter what you are doing!!

You could sell things. Make dog biscuits and sell them at work. I make and sell dog bandanas for my local shelter.

Organize a hike at your local park, $5 or $10 participation fee. www.meetup.com/ is a good place to connect with dog owners.

There's plenty of ways to raise money. It depends on what you like doing.

well, u can try bathing dogs, walking dogs, car wash, fund raisers, whatever u can to get money. im sure people will donate if u hav a donation,
