I would like to know how, where or when you can purchase butterfly eggs to raise in an aquarium and release in your garden? Does anyone have any good information on this? This is probably a bad time of year but I don't know if it's spring or what season is the right time to do this.

http://www.freebutterflyeggs.com/ That is a website where they ship free eggs to you, because they are trying to get you to buy their other products. If you already have a habitat then you don't need to worry about it and you can just get them for free! Have fun!

You might want to plant plants that draw butterflies to your yard because if you go to all that trouble, although fun, they won't stay in your yard unless there are flowers they specifically like. Also, maybe like lady bugs, they have to be released after sundown to give them some sense of home. Have fun! ; )

Do you mean cattapillars (sp) or larvea. I think spring and early summer. You might ask a garden center.
