Q: Home or away for the Holidays and are the pets coming?

During my shorter trips to Houston, I'm lucky enough to be able to take my dog with me... This year we took an extented ski trip, but I was bummed when the rest of the family didn't pick a place that was animal friendly. Luckily, my groomer also boards out of her house, so I have the perfect place for my dog to stay. She even gets to sleep in bed with Ms. Dena! The next best thing to home...

Usually stay home because I don't have anyone reliable to stay with the cats.

We stay at home. Our pets are like our kids. You wouldn`t leave them at home alone or pay a sitter, so why would you do that for your pets.

We went to my parents and my in-laws and they all love my dogs so they go just about everywhere we go

We went to my in-laws about an hour a way and took the 2 year old kitty. Everyone loves him because he plays alot and sucks up to everyone. On the other hand, the 10 year old cat is shyer and really prefers peace and quiet, so we leave him home and he gets the whole house to himself with no pesty young one to bother him.

While we plan to stay home for the majority of the holiday, we will be gone a couple of days. I'm having a friend come over and feed our dogs and horses. She has dogs and horses, as well, so if a problem arises she will know what to do.

I usually stay home for the holidays. Most of my side of the family lives where we are. In that way we are lucky. Our dogs are our kids too, even thou we have 2 children at home. I can't leave them. We have to celebrate with them and we have too many to go with us if we do decided to go anywhere.
