Q: Home or away for the Holidays and are the pets coming?

I usually stay home for the holidays. Most of my side of the family lives where we are. In that way we are lucky. Our dogs are our kids too, even thou we have 2 children at home. I can't leave them. We have to celebrate with them and we have too many to go with us if we do decided to go anywhere.

Usually stay home because I don't have anyone reliable to stay with the cats.

We don't stay home persay but do not go overnight or longer anywhere. We travel to family within 2 hours and always return home. With 3 cats, a cockatiel and a mouse...boarding would be hugely expensive and we would miss them too much. We are happy to go somewhere for awhile and then return to be homebodies!
