Q: Help me name my baby cockatiel???
August 4, 2008 | By Christina T. | 8 answers | Expired: 1733 days ago
We have 4 cockatiels: Sammie, Gabbie, Gizmo, and Gracie. Well, Gizmo and Gracie have finally hatched an egg. This is something I have been preventing for the last year but the little boogers slipped one by me.
Now that the little of bundle of joy is here I couldn't be more excited, it's 2 weeks old and growing like a weed. However, for the life of me, I can't think of that perfect name. I need a name that represents this little life. This little miracle that should have never been born - or live. I've thought of something like Chance, Fluke, or Neveah (backwards for Heaven). Does anyone have any ideas. It would be much appreciated. Thanks

I forgot to add, when I looked up "kismet", the synonyms that came up where "circumstance, destiny, fate, fortune."

I did some playing on Thesaurus.com. When I put in "fate", "kismet" came up. I double checked google because I had never heard of that word and sure enough it means fate or luck. I think it would be a cute name. "Kismet" and you could call the bird "Kissy" for a nickname. :)
If thats doesn't seem right, then you can always try searching an online thesaurus and see what comes up.

Wow, congrats! Normally birds will not fertilize and/or lay eggs unless conditions are PERFECT, and even needing a nesting box! Baby birds must be so cute!

I think since Gizzie and Gracie slipped one past you, why not call it 'Slipper'. It fits the scene!!!!!!! Ya never know what goes on behind the curtain!!!
