Are they in your will? Do you have people who will take them?

Our animals will be looked after as stipulated in our wills. They'll have a caretaker & there will be a fund for their care. I think its important to clearly state your intentions in a will. I'm always networking animals that a family member promised to take care of... unfortunately their idea of that was to dump them in a shelter.

My husband and I have agreed that if something were to happen to both of us, my parents would take care of our beagles. I think it is very important to talk about it and come to a mutual decision because you never know what will happen. The idea that they could end up in a shelter or with someone who wouldn't care for them properly should have every pet owner consider this very carefully.

Yes in our wills there is a provision with a set dollar amount to care for all of our animals for the rest of their natural life and we have stated how is to be spent and what type of account it will be in and who is going to receive our trust to take care of our and carry out our wishes for them.

My daughter would take my dog without question. I plan to add a line to my will stating that is what should happen.

I never thought about it until my wife mentioned it and it made sense. I cannot imagine my dogs going to someone or some place where they wouldn't be happy. Don't ignore them!

My wife and I have written plans in our home but we haven't actually put it in a will. I think it's very important and we all should have some type of plan in place.
