I just started my dog on Nutromax dry natural blend adult food. I am also using alot of other Nutro products - treats, buscuits, etc Has there been any recent recalls of this food?

There has not - the latest recall information I can find for Nutro Max was around this time of last year, concerning only cross-contamination for moist and semi-moist cat and dog products.

The ingredient in question, wheat gluten, is used in wet and semi-wet foods to help gum them together; it is not needed in dry foods.

Nutro Max is an alright food - they do have some good ingredients and I would definitely buy Nutro over IAMS/Eukenuba, Purina, and many other other cheap/midlevel foods, but for the price, I would recommend Authority Harvest-Baked (available at PETsMART) if you can't afford Blue Buffalo or Eagle Pack, which are my two favorite natural brands out there. Check out my rating of Authority Harvest-Baked here on Zootoo.

Nutro had some issues with getting bags in for one of their foods, which slowed down packing. Then they ran out of Lamb. So, there was NO RECALL it was just a purchasing issue that hurt bad. I was told mid summer all should be back in.
