Q: Has anyone tried Nail Caps for their dog?
I'm wondering about nail caps. After we clip our boys nails they hurt if you get scratched. Especially if we're swimming, collide with a paw your gonna know it. If I could use an emory board without either of my boys freaking out I would. Gunner, my older Rott used to let me but since he's seen his brother freak he won't allow it. Plus that didn't help.

have you tried using an emory board after you clip them to smooth them out.like we would do with our own after clipping

Most dog show people use a Dremmel sander to do their dogs' nails. Since your boys won't allow an emory board, this probably won't work.
What I do is, after clipping, I remove the 'burrs' at the corners of the nail with human toenail clippers. I run my finger over the nail end to feel where it's rough and smooth it up with these clippers. It works really well for my dogs.

we put them on my cat and they didnt hert her she just didnt like getting them on put after that she was fine but anoyed that she couldnt scrachup any thing
