Q: has anyone ever owned a chihuahua?

how would u describe thier temperment?what is the better breed,a golden retriever or a chihuahua?are chihuahuas easily trained?

Hard to compare a large dog to a chihuahua. I have several chihuahua mixes and each one is different. If you want a lap dog and one that is beside you a lot a chi is a good choice but if you want to play alot and take long walks then a large dog would be better. Read up on both and then see what fits into your lifestyle.

I don't know that it's fair to say one breed is "better" than another. A better approach to selecting might be to ask fanciers of each breed about the dogs and discuss what your reasons for wanting a dog are and what you expect from the relationship--the type of personality YOU want, type of activities you plan with your dog, your daily lifestyle etc. THEN you will probably be in a position to begin looking for the actual dog that will be the best match for you!
