Sandy

I adopted 2 male kittens and now i need to have them Neutered. A place by me called the Passaic County Spay/Neuter Coalition has a mobile Clinc that spays and neuters for 1/2 the cost of a vet. I need to know if this is safe as i can not afford $500 in the vets office and the moblie clinc will only cost me $100. What should I do?

Coalitions are often a collaboration of local animal welfare groups who obtain grants (such as our own) to provide low cost and at times free spay and neutering. We have a low cost/non profit spay and neuter clininc in our area who does a wonderful job of providing this service in a safe manner for a fraction of the costs. Check with your local rescues, they are probably part of the coalition............Dennis

Check with the group you adopted from. They can tell you and they should be able to help with neutering. It is worth making a few calls and perhaps googling the service you describe to see if there is any further information on them.

Hope this helps and you can get your kitties neutered sooner than later.

Can the place that you adopted the kittens give you some help?

Can the Bergen Shelter give you any guidance on this? If not check out the NJ low cost spay/neuter program:

Are you able to speak with people who have used this service? I would think that an organization offering this kind of service is safe. Are they part of your Humane Society or ASPCA? Where did you adopt the kittens from? Most places adopt kittens already spayed or neutered.
