Q: Good Idea or Bad Idea????

I am just curious about cat leashes. I have a cat that was an indoor outdoor cat and yes she is spayed and up to date with her shots, but she use to go out all the time before I moved from a house to an apartment. She can't come to the window when she is ready to come back in, so she just stays inside and looks out the window. I know that cats live long happy healthy lives never having been outside, and I would think that a cat being on a leash outside and something scares it, she would go crazy or something. Can someone enlighten me more on this. Ps I would not put my cat on leash I know her to well, that would not work. Thanks

This is the best cat harness/leash I've used:
www.amazon.com/Gentle-Leader-Harness-Bungee-Medium/dp/B000NX1GBQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1228065517&sr=8-2

It comes with great instructions on how to get your cat used to the leash.

Because your cat is accustomed to the outdoors, I would guess she'd do quite well on the harness/leash once she's used to it. And being used to it is the key - the first few times you put the harness on her she'll probably sink to the ground, look cranky, and refuse to move. :)

Most of my cats were rescued by us from the great outdoors. Now they are all indoor cats. I tried a cat harness once and tried to take them for a walk but they were terrified so I never did that again. They are very happy being indoors.

my cat is inside and outside cat.
He does his business outside and come back inside.
But when we were in apartmant i used to take him to the park and put leash on him. as long as you walk where he wants to go , he won't even notice the leash
