I am interested in what the popular opinion is on what topical treatment for fleas and ticks is preferred.

I like frontline personally. I did some research on BioSpot, and there are a lot of horror stories about animals having bad reactions (seizures, vomiting, paralysis) to it. The Frontline is very affordable at CanadaVet.com

Actually I prefer BIOSPOT.Does exactly the same thing for much less cost!Have used it on 7 cats and 5 dogs, all of which are on 540 acres of woods and fields.Have never had an infestation and they all sleep in my bed.Used it for over 7 years now.

I have used both, my favorite is Advantx. Frontline doesn't have misquetoe protection which is important to me as we have so many.

I have used both and really prefer Frontline. It works well and I think it is also priced well. I have never had a flea or tick problem with either, but just seem to really like the Frontline. Make sure to buy the correct size for the weight of your dog.

We use Frontline. Max used to come in from outside with ticks covering his ears. We used Frontline on him and no ticks! It was like magic...
