Q: Foster care in St.Louis area

I write a pet column for a St.Louis on line newspaper. A reader asked me if there were any shelters that provided temporary foster care for a person about to be hospitalized in the St Louis area. Does anyone know of a group that might do this. A woman is going in the hospital and is afraid she might have to give up her dog.

I hope she finds someone to foster her pet. I work at a mental health facility and we have fostered pets for our clients before when they had to be hospitalized. I remember one in particular that we kind of passed around until the lady got out and could be re-united. Surely, someone will help out.
