Q: Food Quantity Day vs. Evening

This does sound like a small amount of food. unless you have a really great feed, even then. I feed my little 2.5lb yorkie 1/4 cup a day.

If you want to make one bigger look at what the dog likes.
With me my little guy gets Trippet twice a day, and kibble all day (he's only a puppy). I give less trippet at night, but he eats more kibble at night.

Also consider when you play with him or exercise him. I made the mistake of playing with Harley right after he ate in the first week he was home.... wont do that again. I changed his food schedule so that I made sure he digested everything before I play.

it's usually better to keep them even.. then they don't have issues with eating too much and their bellies are full enough to not be getting into things looking for food because they are hungry.

debbie is right. it does however seem like not much food for the size of the dog in the pic
