Q: Food Allergies?

Michele S.

I have a French Bulldog that seems to have some sort of food allergy, (well, actually he seems to be allegic to everyhting), because at times his skin will appear red/pinkish and he'll start to chew at his feet, but he eats all sorts of treats and foods so there is no way I can pinpoint exactly what is the cause. I cannot start removing certain foods or treats from his diet to try and find out because he is very picky about what he eats, and if he doesn't have certain treats by his plate,...he won't eat his food at all! (I know it's ridiculous...) Does anyone know any good dog foods for senstive eaters? Also, if you or someone you know has a Frenchie, what do you/they do for their dog's diet?

try a grain free fish based food like taste of the wild wetland, wellness core ocean, acana pacifica, canidae grain free salmon, etc. Grains, chicken, beef, soy and yeast are common allergens.

a good food for allergies is Natural Balance fish and sweet potato. any food and treats with limited ingredients.. I don't find too many that turn their nose up at the Natural Balance. They also have duck and venison in limited ingredients.. my boxer girl gets the venison and loves it

Our vet recommends prescription Science Diet. They have formulas especially for food allergies.
