I use vellus products and love them. A lot of people recommended them to me as well. I would never use human products on a dog, so please don't use your shampoo. I have seen dogs hair come out because their owner used shampoo.

As a groomer I used many products. Ask your vet. Some carry very good products, or check your local pet store for a mild shampoo. Flea shampoos can be very harsh and drying. Make sure all tangles are out before her bath. Once tangles are dry they become mats and are very hard to remove without cutting. A great product I love is called THE STUFF.(Look online) You spray it on and leave it. It makes the coat very silky. It's very helpful removing tangles between baths too. Don't give her a bath too often. No more that twice a month if necessary. It can dry out their skin. The most effective tool for her would be a wire slicker brush and fine tooth comb.Happy grooming.

For our dog we use Zodiac Flea Shampoo. It helps to keep flea away and has a medicated but mild smell. We also once a month condition her with our salon product (Tressa) conditioner for moisturizing. We found that it helped to keep her coat moisturized and flake free.
