I'm having a problem finding a name for my newest(sp?)family member. She was found at a bar. She's black and white and has an appetite like a bottom less pit.

We just got a kitten too and we named him Meowy because he loves to meow. I would just watch what he does alot or his personaitly. Well wish you luck finding one.

Guiness, Harp, Killian, okay...so you didn't say it was an Irish bar, but good names, just the same. You'll come up with something.

When naming a kitten, you have to consider what you like and what matches their personality. Try something simple and cute. That's what I do. My cats are named Phantom, Poo, Leo, and Squirt. I've had lots of kitties and I just name them according to how they act when I am around them or how they look. You found this kitten at a bar right? Well then, perhaps a drink or something like that. Don't name it something that is hard to pronounce. Cats remember short words.

Well...after the bottomless well drinks? No, that really doesn't sound quite right. You got some good suggestions here, but I agree with DeeDee...sometimes it just takes a little time. I never name mine right off. I kind of watch them, and let the name come in good time. Stache was easy.

Sometimes choosing the "perfect" name takes time. It'll eventually just "pop" up in your mind. It is fun. Good Luck! And let us know what you eventually chose.

Perhaps you could name her after the bar she was found at, if it has a nice name of course! You could also modify the bar name and use some version of it for your cat's name. I think it'd be cute if the bar had some good Irish name. Maybe you could think of a nice sounding drink that would make a good name as well. Find a book of mixed drinks and go through it. You could then always explain to people how you came to have your cat and why she has her name.

I had the same problem naming of my kitties! It took two or 3 days of thinking hard til we came up with one that stuck.
Hm.... Here are a few, but I'm kind of shooting in the dark because I don't know her personality.:
-Abbie/Abby
-Ailise (Irish name meaning "Noble")
-Willow
-BonBon
-Daisy
-Sammie/Sammy
-Dixie
-Sabrina
-Callie
-Junebug
-Bella
-Lily
-Rosie
-Sassy
-Nora (Hebrew name meaning "Light")
-Athena (like the Greek Goddess)
-Malika (African name meaning "Angel")
-Briana/ Brianna / Brianne (Irish name meaning "Strong")
-Katrina (Russian name meaning "Pure")
-Lulu
-Peanut
-Fiona (Gaelic name meaning "fair, beautiful")
-Gizmo
-Kessie

If none of those seem right, get back to me and I'll come up with more. :) Naming a new pet can be tough!
