Q: Ferret Nation Cage?

I've had a few different ferret cages, and this one, by far, is the BEST!!! It is just incredible. It is HUGE, so be sure you have the space to house such a massive cage. I love the bottom shelf where I store the ferret's toys, extra bedding, etc. I especially like the fact that there are wire bars everywhere, so there are plenty of places in which to hang hammocks from, including under the adjustable shelves. You have 3 levels to choose from to hang the 1/2 shelves. They are easily removable for cleaning too. I slip a pillow case over the 1/2 shelf and tuck in the extra ends underneath--works great. I love that all the doors open up WIDE! This makes it extremely easy to clean. A neat feature is that you can temporarily (or permanently if desired) close off one level from another. In my cage, the litter boxes are all on the 1st level, and hammocks and bedding are on the 2nd. So, at times when the ferrets are sound asleep, I can quickly close off the levels so I can clean the bottom level without ferrets jumping in and out. When I'm done, I just reopen it. If, for some reason, you had to separate a ferret from another, you could close off the levels and still have ferrets occupying both the top and bottom, but they'll remain separate. I hope this makes sense. The locking handles are secure as well. I am very grateful for this cage. So far, it has been the most perfect ferret cage I've owned.
