We had a Palamino horse named "Spook".

He was a wonderful horse with an unusual name.

We had a hamster that we called Star. He had black fur with a white star on the back of his neck.

My favorite name for a hamster is: BABY HEWEY. Bright in mind and spirit. They are intelligent creatures.

I agree with roderick... I hate hearing human names for a dog.
I happen to love the name RUCKUS which is my 3yr old frenchies name

I do not like nameing animals with human names. I prefer to name them after markings or characteristics. I do not name them right away, I wait for the perfect name to happen. Two that come to mind is a horse called buttons and one called knothead.

One of favorite names I gave one of my guinea pigs was Subway. His markings were such that it looked like he was sitting in a bun. We adopted another friend for him named Nigel. I was leaning towards naming him Quiznos, but he had the other name for a long time so I didn't change it.
