Dry, flaky skin could be due to a poor diet. What are you feeding? Have you brought your cat to the vet to rule out any health problems?

The vet should definitly be your first line of action just to make sure that it is simply dry skin. If that is all that it is fish oil pills/capsules can help.

Have a Vet take a look and make sure there isn't anything else going on, you see what Yvonne is going thru with ring worm, flakey skin can sometimes be a symptom, my rescue dog was a mess and now her fur and skin are perfect, you cat could also have allergies, there are allot of holistic cat food also, my dog is on Verus dry kibble fish, potato and Omega 3 mixed with a little wet, I'm sure there must be a cat food like that, I just never looked but I see the same brands when I look over or pass thru the cat side, did wonders for my dog, people ask me who her breeder is, I got her on death row at SPCA, she turned out to be a perfect Black Lab
