Q: Don't you like the smell of you doggy?

Especially after not washed after a few months? Or is it just me and my Aussie?

Note added: I really mean it... I like her smell (after 6 months not being washed).

Yes, my son and I love the smell of our dog, Anderson. His feet actually smell like tortilla chips! He just smells good all over even when not freshly washed! Maybe it is just the love we have for them that makes them smell so good!

Glad I'm not the only one! I know what you mean. My black lab smells better after a month or so. Her breath, however, can be a whole different story...

I have never minded the wonderful, earthy smell of animals..under normal conditions.

My little old dog always gets what I call the "sleepy smell." Whenever he gets tired he gets this certain smell that is very relaxing to me....I also think his paws smell like popcorn....

My older dog always has a sweet smell that I love.... Her younger sister has gas issues though no matter what food we feed her. One can always smell where Mireille has been.

I always know when the dogs have been on the bed or the couch blankets...their coats smell so good, like fabric softner. My cats smell the same too. Love burying my nose in their fur.

as long as she doesn't roll in something dead I don't mind her too much, but I don't stick my nose in her coat either. I prefer them to be dry, wet dog is really bad

I try to bathe her once a month because she starts to smell "gamey"....it's not a bad smell....kind of like a dirty, sweaty kid! I prefer her smell when she is clean!

this sounds strange but I love how my dog's paws smell. Although sometimes when they roll around, I'm not too keen on how their coat smells.
