our staffordshire terrier gets bored, shes friendly, but a little scared of other dogs, since she was attacked by a daschhound last march & our other dog died in april of cancer. are there any groups out there to let dogs of close to same breed play together? We live in the bend/redmond area.

it's not about the breed of the dog, but their personality. dachshunds are many times aggressive little dogs. people assume small dogs will be easy to care for, but don't realize the training and early socialization this breed needs which then results in them going overboard w/feeling like they have to protect themselves and control the situation. staffordshire terriers are strong breeds, but i think your little girl would benefit from meeting submissive dogs - and b/c staffordshires can be dog aggressive, that's not necessarily what your dog needs. when you do meet another dog you're comfortable with, start your dog out slowly. after the attack, it sounds like she needs to be re-socialized.
