Q: Doggie Grooming Options

I have a pomeranian puppy. I've gotten him shaved (evenly shaved) a couple of times and would like to know what other options I have. I have considered getting the loin cut next but still unsure. Does anyone know a good website that could help me decide?

I think you should leave him with his natural hair! Pomeranian's have such lovely coats and they are so cute with their fluffy coats.

It's really not the best idea to get any breed of dog shaved--their hair insulates them during the cold season, and during the summer it protects them from the sun. The hair is a great way to protect the skin, and shaving it off a lot of the time will do more harm than good.

I have a Pomeranian, and we leave him with his natural hair. I have to brush him out good several times a week, but his hair is so soft and it's gorgeous!

You can always trim his hair as well!

I think the natural look is adorable on them. You could probably also shave them down to where their hair is evenly about 2 or 3 inches long, and that'd probably still look nice.

hi i love poms but my favorite way to groom a pom is their own natural way. i don't have any sugestions as i have never seen one shaved or done in a lion cut. they are such cute dogs just the way they are. there must be a group here for poms. maybe if you could find one they could make a sugestion to you
