Q: Dog Toys

We are looking for some feed back on durable dog toys for Weaver. So far he has destroyed a Kong Wubba, he likes squeeky toys and does like to fetch. We don't really like the idea of stuffing treats in toys but that does not mean the toy would be ruled out. Any ideas out there? Who makes a good Frisbee? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Our dog Isabelle rips apart everything we give her to play with. However, tennis balls she doesnt do this too or the rope twists are good as they are knotted and pretty thick.

Jolly balls are good and come in a variety of sizes. One thing my friend does is go to the Good Will and garage sales and buys tons of stuffed animals. They don't last long but they are cheap. Her dogs love stuffed animal toys but tear all of them apart (even the ones labled heavy duty). She got tired of paying the high prices. They do create quite a mess though.

we bought my dog a rope once-she tore it apart within days. For the heck of it, we bought her another one that had a rubber handle on the end so you can play tug-of-war with, and that thing is still going strong! We use it for tug-of-war and fetch.

Nylabones are the only toys are German Shepherds can't seem to tear up.

One of the longest lasting toy I've purchased are the thick ropes. My pets always love playing tug of war and they never break. Wonder if you tried that?

same as Marta J. Nylabone or Hercules bones last a while and the tires are great. every toy i have ever bought Harley and diesel that squeaks, they tare apart in minutes, to get to the squeaker. they really don't tare the Frisbee apart though. oh ya one more thing. i have this medium size ball with a thick rope around it, that i have had for at least 2 years, and its just now starting to break down, the problem is i can't find it anymore!!

So far my dogs have chewed up anything Kong is 5 min. The only thing that lasts a while is Nylabone or Hurcules bones. Oh yeah and tires!

My dog tears up toys like crazy, we just follow the trail of stuffing or plastic all over the house! I know one thing that my dog really likes is very simple, a rope. They come in all sizes you can play fetch with them and it keeps the dogs busy! Best of luck! =)
