If so, how is it working? Any advice for a shelter that's considering this?

i don't have an answer to your actual question, but i will throw down my two cents. electronic payment seems like a good idea if you only accept debit cards. by accepting credit cards, you may be opening the door to those who really can't afford an animal in the first place. i've known plenty of people who can't afford something so they toss it on their cards. considering they may have this animal for 20 years, personally, i wouldn't be comfortable knowing they couldn't afford them from the start.

I don't think our shelter does, but they might. You can adopt through the Humane society and our shelter works closely with the humane society. Personally, I would never adopt an animal without seeing it, so electronic payment would be out for me, but I would say they would take payment however they could get it.
