Q: Does your furry friend have a meal ritual?

Anna, our 1.5 year old Border Collie, does a dance before every meal. First she does a play bow, then she prances around her dish several times, and then finally she eats. She does this at every meal. It's as if she is so happy to have a bowl of food that she has to dance around. The funny thing is she doesn't do it right away, but waits for Karlie to finish eating. I think it's so she has an audience! Does anyone else's furry friend(s) have a ritual they do before eating?

My Lab LOVES to eat 24/7 if I didn't control her and when she see the bowl she starts dancing around 'till she is in such a frenzy she has to lie down and rest a min. before she can eat I call it her "happy dance"

Mine just has a ritual of hassling me until I feed him. Maybe a little nip or two and refusing to leave me alone. Then he eats a bit and comes back later for more. Sometimes he waits until I am working near his dish to eat more. His way of being social I guess.
