Yes your dogs should be vaccinated. There is an issue of over-vaccinating but in most places you can get a rabies vaccine that lasts 3 years now. The risk of rabies is low but I live in the city & we had several reports of rabies this year as we do every year. And I noticed in your photos that your dogs do go outside so there is a risk that they can encounter something. It only takes one time to wish you had.

People are really not informed on this issue usually. The risk of rabies is ridiculously small compared to the possibility that your dog will get rabies, and the vaccine is mostly political- vets make most of their money off of vaccinations. Unfortunately, over-vaccination wreaks havoc on your pet's immune system. To be a law-abiding citizen and avoid the serious issues that can come from being over-immunized, search for a holistic vet that will do a titer test instead. This measures the animal's immunity to a disease and determines whether or not a booster is necessary. One rabies shot can cover your dog for 3-5 years. The vey should give you a tag if your dog is still immune. These tests are a bit more expensive than the actual shot, but much safer for your pet.

Absolutely YES! Not only is it the law but you never know if your dog would get out or another animal would get in your house.

Yes that goes for cats too. Bats can get in any house. Rabies is the only thing dogs and cats can get that will kill us.That is why it's the law.

YES! It is the law in every state. If you dog is not up to date on their rabies shot and someone breaks into your house and your dog protects you by biting the intruder, the state will cut your dogs head off to see if it has rabies. Also, if a rabid animal gets into your house like a squirrel or a bat, it can give your dog rabies. Anyone who is angry with you and has been to your house can "claim" your dog bite them and if your dog is not up-to-date on rabies shots, you dog will be killed.
Each state runs reduced cost rabies clinics where you can have the shots done for less than going to a drive through fast food place. There is really no excuse not to protect your dog if you love your dog.
Since your dog is not up-to-date, they'll give your dog a one year rabies shot but after that you can get a 3 year rabies shot and only get a rabies shot every 3 years.
