Q: Does anyone know of a good dog food alergen-free that I can get at the Pet store?

My dog bites her paws alot. I read that Natural Choice Lamb & Rice is good but not alergen-free. My vet put her on Hills z/d but it makes her stool too soft and it gets on her hair...she's white Maltese. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

California Natural... also keep corn out of your dog's diet.

My dog had similar issues when we got her but we started feeding her Natural Balance food. They have multiple types that are allergen free and it is a premium natural food. We mix that with a diet of fresh foods(appropriate ones) and she loves it! It has greatly reduced her problem and she has only been eating it for a few weeks now.

There are multiple premium foods out there(we actually had her eating one when we first got her) but they aren't all allergen free. I'd definitely suggest trying Natural Balance. It is a food that you will need to go to a pet store for(Petco carries it).
