Q: Does anyone know a good camping area that is dog friendly in Northern California?

I have never been there and am not a camper but I found a state park, Mackerricher that is a couple of miles from Fort Bragg and in their brocure it says a dog must be on a leash. heres a link to their web site. It looks beautiful.

Hi there,
My boyfriend and I bought this book when we moved to LA, its called the "dog lovers companion to california". Its amazing it lists hundreds of off leash parks, hiking trails, dog friendly restaurants, hotels etc. And the book is divided up into counties and cities!

Fort Bragg, Mendocino County lists that:

most dog friendly place to stay: delamere cottage

parks,beaches,recreation area: MacKerricher State Park
Coast Botanical Gardens,Noyo Beach off leash dog area/noyo jetty park, jackson state forrest.
