I'd suggest doing a Google search. There are sooo many recipes out there and you know your dogs personal food favorites. For example my cats like seafood, not cheese and milk flavors. So browse the different sites, until you find one with the ingredients you think you dog would enjoy. Happy cookin'

These are really easy and my dogs love them.

4 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup cooked rice
1 egg
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
Juice from a small orange
1 2/3 cup water

Mix all ingredients together well. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead. Roll out dough to about 1/8 inch thickness and cut out desired shapes.

I have made these numerous times and the dogs love them.

1.5 cups white floor
1.5 cups wheat flour
1.5 cups wheat germ
2 large eggs
¼ cup maple syrup, honey or brown sugar
½ cup bacon fat
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
½ cup water, enough to make dough easy to roll out

Mix all together and roll out. Cut into dog loving shapes with cookie cutter and place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.

you can google "dog treat recipes" to get some. you may want to skip the peanut butter for awhile.

I have one for peanut butter dog biscuits. It came from a group of Girl Scouts that had made the treats for dogs at a fair. It's real easy, and they look super cute if you have dog or bone shaped cookie cutters.

Super Simple Chunky Peanut Butter Dog Treats

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup chunky natural peanut butter
1 cup nonfat milk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Grease cookie sheets
Combine flour and baking powder and mix
Add peanut butter and milk
Mix until you get a batter
Roll out 1/4 inch think - cut using cookie cutters
Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly browned
Store in an airtight container

I made these for a doggy bday party we threw at the shelter, and they were a huge hit. You can use crunchy or creamy peanut butter.
