First of all, I am so sorry about your dog. If she doesn't know already she will know soon. Somehow dogs know when they are dying and usually they try to find a place to hide and die. This happened to my dog. She knew she wasn't doing very good and she some how got off her leash, ran away, and died.
I hope this helped you out a little......

Gimpie,
I would recommend to speak to your veterinarian about pain control. If she's in pain, it will be much easier for you. There are even hospice veterinary techs that can come to you and help relieve her pain. To be honest, from what you describe, it sounds like she's in pretty bad shape. Try to keep her comfortable and painfree. I am so sorry to hear about her. It is such a horrible thing when your beloved friend is ill.

i'm sure of it... look how observant dogs are when you're sick? or even are going out of town. the night before my grandparents were going to put their dog down, he ran away and was found dead the next morning. i'm sure he knew and didn't want to put my grandparents thru that pain.
