Q: Do you think cats and dogs in other countries have an accent?

I wonder if cats meow or dogs bark differently in England or France. It's something to think about.

It would be cool if they did it in their own country accent...I'd enjoy hearing a good french meow.

Nope, I've spent quite a bit of time in Europe, England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Australia and New Zealand. Bark is bark and meow is meow. As someone else mentioned, they do understand their native language.

I'm really sorry to disappoint you, but they all sound the same. They don't have accents like people do.

I don't think so...bark and meow are the same no matter where you go. For example, in Chinese the word for cat is essentially "meow," as in the sound a cat makes.

I don't know if they have an accent, but they certainly understand the language of their master.
