I wonder if cats meow or dogs bark differently in England or France. It's something to think about.

I've done considerable research on this very thing while on R&R from the Vietnam War.

Ironically, they actually DO bark differently in other countries, especially in southeast Asia !!

Well actually, the barking sounds very similar to that of our pets, but they're saying different words !!

Thanks for the opportunity to share my acquired knowledge on this vital point. My friends, at the time, said I was crazy for even thinking of such things. It's very gratifying to know that there are others out there who are as concerned as I about such as this.

I have traveled on all continents except Antarctica and I can assure you that cats and dogs sound the same. I think the real difference is how they are treated. For example when I was in France and Switzerland, I noticed that dogs were allowed to go into restaurants. They would lay under a table, sometimes on their pillow.

I've traveled abroad on many occasions and I can tell you that they all bark and meow just the same.
