Q: Do you take your dog(s) on vacation with you?
I have never gone away with my dogs. Wondering if it is fun and where people go?

We brought an RV so we could travel and not have to leave our dog. Yep he goes where we go and loves it.

I don't go anywhere without my dog. But you need to know if your dog can really handle it and behave well. Do they travel well? Behave? Manners? Social? New situations? A vacation with your dog can be a blast, but it can also be a complete disaster if something goes wrong. What if the leash slips out of your hands for even a second? Is the dog going to take off? Does it get carsick? Thunderstorms in a different environment? I'm don't want to discourage you at all, but just realize that if things go wrong far away from home, it can be a lot worse. I defintiely suggest a short overnite trip somewhere close to home as a trial run. As long as your dog is ready for it - have a blast!
