Q: Do you give your pet "people food"?

Welllllll.... they get the crusts off my toast, they get to lick the dish, a little piece of my Chex Mix, and anything I might drop on the floor. I'm sure they would eat a full burger meal, with milk shake & fries if I let them!! Do you think it's because it smells soooo good to them or just because we're eating it, so they want some too?

Our dog eats anything we are eating, whether or not it has a very appealing smell--such as cooked peas, cut orange slices, and corn. He especially loves grilling out with friends, as he can usually snag a burger or hot dog that falls on the floor, and he also likes to take a few bites of corn on the cob. His latest fad is to lick clean yogurt cups after we have finished eating. On weekends he sometimes gets his own miniature pancake or omelet.

Most of my cats like people food. I give them a little but I try to discourage doing it too much. When i do give them people food I give them things that I think will not upset their stomachs(spicy or greasy) or things that are just junk food (hey, I shouldn't be eating it either, lol). But they love turkey at Thanksgiving or whatever kind of meat was for dinner (once again...if it's not too spicy or greasy).

If only when I pass away I come back as one of our pets! They get gravy in their hard dog food and a chicken patty every night! Their coats are so glassy and their skin is in great condition, we do a little rice too sometimes.
And anything we drop on the floor.
