Q: Do you believe in holistic medicine for your pets?

I think it can/should be used in conjunction with normal medical means(like a bonus) or if all other methods have been exhausted. I also believe that it depends on the individual pet/case. What's your take?

I agree that the combo is excellent. It's not always easy to find holistic vets though. I happen to be a massage therapist and reiki practitioner and a student of naturopathy for years. My cats LOVE reiki treatments. I have always used reiki on any sick cats I come in contact with.

I use a wholistic base, which I supplement with traditional veterinary care. For CJ (and myself!), I start with a whole food diet, including condiments selected for nutritional and medicinal benefits. Since I removed processed dog foods that just didn't work for CJ and started feeding her several small meals a day, she's been sick only once---required veterinary care---and is practically always at the top of her game.

Yes I sure believe in it. I truly believe Holistic Medicine saved my dogs life. The combination between eastern and western medicine is amazing.
