I have a yorkshire terrier, a pomeranian, and a golden retriever and all three of them prefer wet food. They started out with dry food but when i gave them a taste of wet food they stooped wanting the dry food. Its a problem when it comes to the pooping because it comes out almost like diarrhea and messier to clean. So what i do is add a little wet food to dry food.

It depends on the dog but usaully I find that my rat terrier likes wet food better. My grandma's miniture poodle likes human food better. My dad's American Eskimo likes dry food better and my dad's parents pomerrainian likes wet food better. I use to have a english cocker spaniel that liked dry food better. Some dogs like both the same. Or mixed together it just depends on the dog I geuss same with cats and other animals as well.

Dry food is better for them as long as there teeth are still good enough that they can eat it. Dry food is healthier and better on there stomach. Aslo it helps keep there teeth clean and thats always a good thing!!
