Q: Do dogs cry when they are happy

my aunt's dog cries when he see me. He puts his paw on my shoulder and cries, becuase he has not seen my in a long time

My dog also walks around holding cookies or bones - but I never saw him cry? Is that the only time you see him cry? maybe you should check with your vet? If you find out - let me know - it would be interesting to know. Good Luck with your dog! so much fun!

I think that not only are they happy, they are usually looking for a place to "bury" it. Inside, that's hard to do, so they walk around with it. Smidgin will find a spot finally and dig up the "dirt", and then place it carefully in the hole, and then she pushes the "dirt" back over it with her nose. It's hilarious! Then if you notice it, or heaven forbid move it, she looks at you in amazement because she truly thinks noone can see it anymore! =)

They are happy to receive the treat and in some cases they really aren't hungry so they can't decide if they should hide it for later or eat it now. Are they not just the most wonderful creatures?

I think they get so excited it's kinda a delighted squeal, and when my lab is doing it she looks like she's going to hang on to it while she makes sure no one is hiding to take it from her, they are funny aren't they?

That shows joy. Most dogs cry when they are happy or are trying to tell you something! She is thanking you before she eats it.

I thought my husband's dachshund was weird when she started doin the same thing. She walks around with a cookie in her mouth...crying. It cracks us up. Since I know another dog does this, MooMoo is probably normal. Whew!!
