Q: Distracting Guinea Pigs

I have 6 guinea pigs in 4 cages due to personality clashes. I'd really like to bring them out together to socialize but some of them get aggressive. Any tricks to distract them during playtime? I've used vanilla to mask their scent and lots of treats, but the novelty seems to wear off pretty quick.

a very large open area, never leave them alone, and lots of fresh grass/dandlion leaves

If they don't get along you aren't doing them any favors putting them together. So allow the ones that get along out together in a large area..the ones that don't, you be their pal get down and them crawl all over you.
Are ther cages near each other? I would make sure you have the wire of each cage touching, so your pigs can get used to each other, maybe hooking up a treat/hay rack on the sides that are touching...to encourage friendly encounters before trying again in the total free area. Or get some guinne pig balls (like the ones most commonly for hamsters, but bigger) and let them run around and explore from the safety of the ball.

DO NOT USE A HAMSTER BALL FOR GUINEA PIGS!!! I means one that is big enough for them, I have 2 GPs and I read that their back is not made for that and it can really hurt them. But get two Gps at a time and put a towel on ur couch and put them on either side wait for them to get comfortabe with each other and once they are try some other pigs until all the pigs are comfortable with each other
