If you live anywhere in the Philadelphia area, please join this group. They are newly formed and hoping to add Philadlphia on the list of no-kill cities.

My sincere wish is that all animal welfare organizations stop using the term "no kill." It is divisive and often times very misleading to the public.

I hate to be a pessimist but I live in Delaware Co., and the chances of Phila being no kill doesn't have much of a chance, they have a large population of Pit's that are not treated as pets, and if they are not picked up by animal control they find them tortured or burnt alive, the dogs are trained to make the little jerks that own them feel like big men, plus the fact that the people are killing themselves, they have to a way to stop that first, If you have an idea of how it could be done please post it, I am active with the NGAP
