March 17, 2008 | By Alan & Nancy A. | 2 answers | Expired: 2305 days ago

How can we get our cats accustomed to daylight savings time. They are waking up at 4:30 in the morning. 5:30 was bad enough, but now we have are awakend at 4:30, 5, 5:30 and then I finally give up at 6:30!

I agree with Debbie S. that it is a "biological clock issue" and "Not much you can do..." Your cat needs time to adjust and realize that you do not want to get up so early. You could try turning some lights on (or off) to "throw off" the kitty's sense of what time it is, but why bother? It will pass with "time".
