i'd say get the cats fixed and keep them. we have 23 cats so to me 6 isnt that much. i work at the humane society in fremont ohio and we are filled with cats so im guessing that all the others are in the same situation. keep the cats other then that theres a chance your daughters home might be the last home they can get.

Chrystal1331 6 cats to you might not be alot of work but to someone esle it might be there limit. Is there a friend of your daughters or yours who might want one of the cats or they might know someone who wants them. How old are the kitties? Are the kittens or adults?

Get them fixed so they don't reproduce when you rehome - this is a low cost solution. Petfinder.com has classified adds that independent owners can post to rehome, post a flyer at the shelter, post an add in the paper (make sure you say you are going to charge an adoption fee of at least 30 dollars to deter people to sell free animals to labs and such). Always advertise spay/neuter vetted healthy etc. People are always looking for a deal, which isn't bad, but if you cater to that you are likely to get more interest. If the spay/neuter is the only issue maybe you could keep some of them after they are fixed! Good luck.
