Ok, so other than Nature's Miracle (which I have had no luck with) what can I use to get the cat urine odor out of the carpet. I'm open to home rememdies, other products, anything. I can't seem to get the smell gone and my cat keeps using the area, one area down from three (that I know of). The vet has given her the all clear, so it's just a matter of getting up that stubborn smell, it is driving me crazy!:)

I would try using baking soda. Sprinkle it generously in the area and wait 30-45 minutes and then vaccuum. Baking soda is usually a pretty good odor killer & it's cheap...so worth a try. You may need to repeat process a couple times if it's really stubborn. Another idea...use a steam carpet cleaner with a pet odor formula.

Commercial cleaners have never worked for me either. I get the best results with white vinegar. Unfortunately, you'll probably need several applications. I actually got rid of all the carpets in my house many years ago. It really made cleaning much easier -- but I live with nine animals & I realize that most people aren't that crazy.
