Q: Cat pooping on floor

My daughter has a full grown cat who keeps pooping on the floor and not the box. She has recently moved to a home that had a dog. This cat has never did this in any other homes he has been in. Why would he be doing this now and how does she get him to stop?

It may be that there are residual odors from the dog. I would suggest an enzyme odor remover such as ZeroOdor. You can get it online and it is said to be one of the best odor removers on the market. It actually gets rid of the odor instead of masking it. I would suggest something like this or the cat may never use the box. Hope this helps!

The cleanser is a good suggestion. You can also find it in the larger pet product stores. There are a few examples listed in the review section. A second box in a different room might help. Some cats get nervous if the box is too near an outside door or a window.

I agree with the good cleaning.I would also move the box ,even just a bit.Move it across the room if that is what he wants and it is feasible..He needs his own potty box.Cats are funny this way.Good luck.
