Q: Cat licked Transdermal Gel by mistake while grooming?

My cat is on Pepcid Ac the vet gave me the transdermal gel form (appy the med on the inside of the ear where there is no fur) and it gets absorbed into the skin and works wonderfully.

The thing that has me worried is that I think Misty licked some of it off while grooming. How harmful could this be to her???

if your vet prescribed it to go onto your cat, probably not very. if she ate a ton of it there may be an honest concern, but cats are gonna lick. anything that goes in their ears, they will reach their paw up, wipe some of it off, and lick it off their paw.
things to watch out for are excessive drooling, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, lack of coordination, and dazed looks. if any of these occur, call your vet immediately. otherwise, she should be fine.
