I agree with Jackie--your cat probably needs a dental exam and cleaning.

It's very important to brush your cats teeth.at some pet stores, they even sell cat breath mints. Dry food is a great way to prevent tarter build up. It may just be bad breath, but there are certain gum deseases your cat can have. The older your pet gets , the more dental problems they have. Always consult your vet.

you need to take care of your cats teeth just like your on. it might be food smell but it is more likely needing dental care from brushing to posibly extractions. please have them checked

cat's teeth should be brushed at least twice a week {though we should shoot for every day or every other day}. try using a finger brush, which is like a rubber thimble w/little "teeth" that fits over your finger. they're the least invasive, and that helps considerably for a cat who's not use to teeth cleanings.
