Q: Cat Behavior
October 11, 2008 | By Andy K. | 7 answers | Expired: 1671 days ago
One of our cats hates it when I sneeze... I think. Many times when I sneeze she makes a sort of weird noise and comes running to me. If I sniffle too loud she'll do something similar. I figure the noise disturbs her or she's saying bless you in her own way. Does anyone else get a similar reaction from their critter? What could cause this?

My cat Max has always attacked me when I laugh really loud. He will come running from where ever he is @ the moment & attack me. I think he's protecting his Daddy (my husband) or the noise just bugs him. It never fails though. I should try it the next time I am purposely looking for him. He's a neutered male approximately 10 years old. He's a tiger cat & stays indoors, we don't let our cats outside. Maybe it's just fun times for our cats, who knows!

Your cat's looking out for you. When she hears this she may be alramed and makes sure you're all right. My dog comes running to me if I cough or sneeze. And he's always there when Im sick or sad. It's them looking out for us, and making sure we're okay and protected.

My dog hates it when I sneeze. Instead of running to me, he gives me a hateful look and goes away. It is as if he is telling me that I am disturbing him and how dare I. I liked reading all the other responses. Pet behavior is so funny and interesting.

I read once that you are one of 6 things to a cat: food, toy, play mate, threat, mother or kitten. It sounds like your cat is trying to take care of you. I guess that makes you her kitten
